Burt's Bees Newest Lip Goodies ^^

Okay, it may be getting quite chilly right now, but Burt's Bees has decided to inject a little bit of Summer into their 100% natural lip products range, with some new, tropical inspired lip shimmers and a lip balm.

These new goodies make me think about beaches and sunshine!

The new hydrating lip balm with Coconut and Pear is my favourite of the lot - it smells downright delicious!

It doesn't feel heavy or greasy on the lips, and can easily be reapplied often. And it makes lips hydrated and soft, with its hydrating formula containing a heady mix of Coconut Oil, Pear Extract, and Shea Butter. It smells divine, and almost edible - Love!

If you like coconut scents, you'll love this ^^

Just try not to eat it - it smells that good.

RRP: AUD$6.95

I've reviewed the shimmers in different shades a few times already - see here and here

They're great for a soft sweep of colour - very hydrating and slick formula, that smells of peppermint, and gives lips a bit of a tingle when applied. Unlike other lip butters/glosses, these shimmers nourish with Vitamin E, Fruit Oils, Sunflower Oil, and Coconut Oil~

Lip Shimmers in Apricot (left) and Grapefruit (right)

I really like Apricot, which is aptly named with its orange-peachy shade. Very Summer appropriate ^^

Grapefruit is not really my colour - it's a bit more shimmery and pearlescent, which doesn't tend to flatter my complexion much. For pigmented lips it may look a bit too pearlescent or close to sickly - especially on more yellow skin tones. It would look nice on fair and cool toned complexions I think!

RRP: AUD$9.95

If you want to treat your lips to a Tropical Vacation, definitely check these out - they should have hit the shelves by now ^^

Random question - Tropical Vacation versus Winter Escape, what's your ideal holiday? ^^

Thanks for reading!

  1. Omg the apricot color looks really nice on you!! But I honestly think none of these colors would suit me OTL haha. Burts bees is not available in my country though or I've never seen this brand here before T^T Thanks fro this review though, Tulip~! And I think I would prefer Winter Escape because I hate tropical climate xD What about you? ^^;

oh and btw, I would like to invite you to Circle Lens Giveaway! Since you wear circle lenses a lot too (I even asked you for advice haha) I guess you might be interested in this >w<

  2. The apricot color is so beautiful!! it is opaque as well!
I am not sure this range is available here in Germany but I will have a look! the apricot one is really nice! ^^

  6. Thanks Mindy ^^ Hehe, well there are a few other shades available in the range!
I don't think Burt's Bees is a widely known brand, but since I like their products so much I hope they can expand in the future!
I like Winter Escapes too - I really don't do well in warm weather, it just makes me tired, lol.
Thanks Mindy, I'll probably skip since it'd be better for a non-blogger to win the lenses ^.^

  7. It is a cute colour! And yep, most of the shimmers have decent pigmentation ^^

  8. I haven't tried the uncoloured ones yet - they seem like a good staple to have!
Thank you, and definitely check out the coloured ones, there's some really cute shades ^^

  9. Sometimes subtle lip colours are best! Thanks for reading ^^
