b.liv by Cellnique Skincare Review *sponsored products post*

Hi there! How are we all? Today's review is a skin care review, from b.liv. They've kindly sent me a few things to trial, tailored to suit my dry skin concerns.

Cellinique's a cosmaceautical company based in Malaysia - their b.liv products are youthful, fun, and full of good ingredients.

"Submerge Me offers deep moisture penetration to serve intensive and instant relief to parched skin as well as brightens dull complexions and calms skin irritations"

I love that Submerge Me comes in a pump cannister! I don't really mind having skincare in  round jars, but sometimes I do hate digging into those jars as the cream gets under my nails. With Submerge Me, you can just pump out the lotion - so convenient!

Though Submerge Me is targeted towards dehydrated skin, the lotion is actually much more lightweight than I expected. You'd think that moisturisers for dry skin would be more thick or creamy, but this is very light, and absorbs super quickly. The directions state that you can use this throughout the day as required, but since I put on bb cream everyday I just use this mornings and evenings, and I didn't get any dry flakes or patches. And my skin felt comfortably balanced too.

For my dry/normal skin, I found it fine to use as a moisturiser alone, but on the b.liv website Submerge Me is defined as a moisturising 'booster', so for extremely dry or dehydrated skin, you'd have to follow up with the moisturising gel in the range for best results.

Overall, I think it's a very gentle lotion, that feels nice and light on the skin. The only con is probably the price - although b.liv products are aimed at a younger audience, I think it's priced a little too high for the average young person.

Left: Submerge Me Moisturiser
Right: Shield Me Sunblock

"This light-weight moisturizing sunblock protects you from harmful UVA and UVB rays and repairs the exposed or damaged areas on your face"

I have to admit I'm a bit slack when it comes to sunblock - I tend to rely on my bb cream's inbuilt SPF to protect me from sun damage. It's partly laziness, and partly because I hate the greasy, thick feel of sunblock on my face.

I didn't mind the feel and texture of Shield Me though, it's light and moisturising rather than thick and gluggy, and it doesn't take too long to absorb. I only tried the sample size so I can't go too in depth, but from first impressions it's feels pretty nice on the skin.

"This moisturizing mask covers your skin with a generous boost of hydration! Immerse me acts like a balm for parched and dry complexion as it gets absorbed in a blink of an eye and makes sure your skin’s longing hydration will never turn tail"

I have to say I think these masks are super! The cloth masks are soaked in pure Hyaluronic Acid, and we all know that HA is great for retaining moisture on the skin :)

The cloth is generously soaked in essence, so after applying it you'll have plenty to massage into your neck and chest, plus elbows and knees too. The masks have a real cooling and soothing effect.

The essence is transparent, and very thin

The shape of the mask fits me pretty well, with a bit of stretching around the nose area, but nothing inconvenient. I did find the thin cloth could be torn easily, so take care when pulling them out of the packaging.

Haha, the closest you'll ever see me with a bare face ^_^

After 20-30 minutes my skin looked brighter, and felt replenished and hydrated. My skin also felt soft and supple. Definitely liked this mask!

Overall I was really pleased with the performance of these products.

  1. I have heard of the brand from Dawn Yang but never tried it yet. The packaging looks hip and cute ^_~

  2. I think I need to get me some of those masks!! They look so lovely! Quite expensive though T_T

  3. I like the bright blue colours used ^^

  4. The masks are sooo hydrating! Yep, it is a bit pricey I think :(

  5. These products look so good! The mask and Submerge me look so nice and hydrating- I'm not a fan of super thick and greasy creams and I like the sound of a lightweight moisturiser :)
