Etude House Sweet Recipe Ice Cream Nails - Strawberry Stars Candy

Hi sweets! Hope you're enjoying your weekend ^_^

Today I have a quickie review on one of the ice cream nail polishes from Etude House's latest line - the Sweet Recipe Collection. If you haven't seen this range yet, check out my post here.

I was totally enamoured the second I saw this cute nail polish - have you ever seen a polish shaped like food - and better yet, shaped like dessert?

Strawberry Stars Candy is pretty much the first thing from the Sweet Recipe line that I bought. It's a pale pink polish with multi-coloured glitters and star shaped sequins, and you know what, it even looks like melted ice cream in the bottle~!

There are four colours in the ice cream range - pink, apricot, mint, and yellow. And they all have incredibly cute dessert themed names. I'm hoping to collect them all over the coming months (even if I do have a bajillion nail polishes already, lol).

I purchased this polish off ebay seller f2plus1 for about $5.20, with free shipping.

This contains 10ml of nail polish~

Performance wise, Strawberry Stars Candy is quite a thin and runny texture. It applies very sheer (the first coat is quite streaky!) so a minimum of 3 coats is needed to look presentable. The good point is that this polish dries really quickly so you won't be sitting around for ages between coats.

Colours of the glitters include pink, purple, and blue
All the glitters are different shapes and sizes too

The glitter placement is pretty random and more sparse than I'd prefer, but I think the result is really girlie and cute. I wish there were more star sequins though - I only got one star onto my nails!

The pink shade really reminds me of fairy floss - it's a youthful and cute colour.

And here's my current NOTD! I tried to do chocolate dipped nails to go with the ice cream theme ^_^

I have a few more things coming in the mail, so you will be seeing some more reviews of the Sweet Recipe Collection!

Thank you, Tea! Err, it looks a bit too thick and gloopy up close, since I just used the polish brush instead of a nail art too. I just blobbed the polish on and dragged it to the tip of the nail.
