Slowly getting the hang of false lashes ^^

Went for my annual eye check-up the other day.

Before my appointment I quickly went to Seoul Mart. They stock Missha products ^^

I bought 2 face masks for $6.00. They're a little cheaper online but I want to support the local store. There aren't many Korean supermarkets here. I got one aloe and one pearl extract mask. My skin has been red and irritated lately, probably because of the hot summer weather. I hope these help >_<
I also bought a Missha eyelash curler for $5.90

My sister's best friend came back from holiday, and she was sweet enough to get me a gift! It's a little notebook with the cutest illustrations.

Practised putting on falsies, top and bottom, again. I like the upper ones but had difficulty getting the bottom ones applied. Anyway, while the lower ones look okay in the pic, in reality they didn't look too good. Maybe they need to be paired with more voluminous lashes instead. I decided to dress up a little too. Something lady-like ^^

Outfit of the day
Dress ~ Temt
Belt ~ Portmans
Lace socks ~ Sunday markets
Booties ~ Urban Soul

I think the focal point of the outfit are these open-toed, leather booties. They're probably my best/favourite purchase ever. Most definitely an 'investment' piece. They're my most expensive fashion item but I don't regret it. I've worn them so many times, they're about due for a resoling!

Do you have a most favourite purchase?

  2. I love the falsies on you. You look so cute. Umm.. have you tried individual lashes for the bottom lash line? They will look really nice & natural in person.

There aren't many Korean markets around here either. I only know of one. =/

Umm.. I don't have a most favorite purchase, but I usually favor my little small cheap things like figurines or stuff animals more than any of my expensive stuff besides my camera, haha.

  4. You look so pretty! Those bottom lashes really do look good on you. You're lucky you know how to put on falsies. They look awesome! I can never figure out how to put falsies on no matter how much I try :( But oh well, at least I have mascara! And I love your shoes, they look amazing!

  6. Hiya:)
You look really pretty in your outfit :) I'm so bad at applying falsies, so I don't use them, I stick to my boring old mascara :P I really need to learn how to apply falsies so I get pretty big eyes like yours, I love the bottom lashes, they complete a cute and dolly look! Recently, my sister got so many face masks, are the masks you bought good? :)

    Great post! ^^

  10. Thank you Alysha!
Finding the right mascara for my stick straight lashes got tiring so I've turned to falsies ^^
If you ever want to try again, Youtube's great for tutorials~

  12. Thanks Lizzy! Falsies really do open up the eyes, especially since mine are naturally small >_<
The aloe one is soothing, and my skin feels cleaner. I'm definitely going to try some more Asian brand masks since my skin needs some hydration lately.

  13. I've heard from my Korean Student that there is a product today that can make your eye lashes grow. I was so curious about it. Maybe someday I will buy one. And I love your blog. followed you. That notebook is so cute and you look great in your outfit. =)
